All Eyes Speak One Language (Standard Edition)
ALL EYES SPEAK ONE LANGUAGE is a companion volume to AS LONG AS THERE ARE ANIMALS which was published in 2014.
Each of the sixty photographs is presented on its own page, much in the same way a stand-alone fine art print deserves. There is little distraction of text in the main part of the book. It is a fine art book designed to display photographs to their maximum potential using the best paper and materials available.
The standard edition is produced to the same high standard as the deluxe edition, bound beautifully with a full colour dust jacket.
It is printed by EBS Press in Verona, Italy, printers of many renowned fine art photographic books including Sebastião Salgado’s magnificent Genesis.
The book contains a foreword by Virginia McKenna of Born Free fame, and an introductory essay by Keith Wilson, as well as words by David Lloyd.
From the book’s foreword, by Virginia McKenna, OBE
Founder and Trustee, Born Free Foundation:
Looking closely at the exquisite photographs I can almost hear the rushing sound of thousands of wildebeest as they move, like a tidal wave, over the plains or surge across a river; feel the warmth and texture of the lion’s fur; sense the vulnerability of a young giraffe as it rests its head on its mother’s side; the exuberant friendship of elephants; the solitary magnificence of the bright-eyed tiger; the almost human challenge of the chimpanzee’s stare; the slippery silkiness of the leopard climbing a solitary tree; the resignation of an ageing lion whose course may soon be run. They are all unforgettable.
These extraordinary images must surely touch every beating heart, teaching us not to exploit wild animals but to respect and treasure each wild creature, each wild species, each wild habitat. They should inspire each and every one of us to play our role in ensuring the natural world not only survives but recovers and thrives.
